Educational Qualification
- Rural Works Department:
- Junior Engineer (Civil): Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized university of Uttarakhand or Uttar Pradesh.
- Junior Engineer (Electrical): Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university of Uttarakhand or Uttar Pradesh.
- Junior Engineer (Technical): Diploma in Civil Engineering from Technical Council of Uttarakhand/Uttar Pradesh or any recognized university.
- Irrigation Department:
- Junior Engineer (Mechanical): Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering awarded by any University or Institute established by law in India or other mentioned institutions.
- Minor Irrigation Department:
- Junior Engineer (Civil): Three years diploma in Civil Engineering awarded by any University or Institute established by law in India.
- Junior Engineer (Mechanical): Three years diploma in Mechanical Engineering awarded by any University or Institute established by law in India.
- Junior Engineer (Agriculture): Three years diploma in Agriculture Engineering awarded by any University or Institute established by law in India.
- Panchayati Raj Department:
- Junior Engineer (Civil): Diploma in Civil Engineering from one of the mentioned institutions or recognized by the State Government or State Council for Technical Education.
- Drinking Water and Sanitation Department:
- Junior Engineer (Civil): Three years diploma from any recognized university in Civil Engineering.
- Public Works Department:
- Junior Engineer (Civil): Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized Institute/ Polytechnic.
- Electrical Safety Department:
- Junior Engineer (Electrical): Diploma in Electrical Engineering from any recognized University.
- Housing Department:

- Agricultural Department:
- Junior Engineer (Subordinate Agricultural Service Class 1 Engineering Branch): Three years diploma from any recognized University in Electrical/Mechanical/Agriculture/Civil Engineering.
Age Limit
- Rural Works Department & Panchayati Raj Department:
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 43 years
- Other Departments:
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 43 years
There will be upper age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC and Dependents of Freedom Fighters for 5 years and PWD (Persons with Disabilities) for 10 years.
UKPSC JE Fee 2023
To apply online for the post of Junior Engineer, an individual who belong to General/OBC/EWS category applicants will have to pay ₹172.30, application fee for SC/ST is ₹82.30, and PWD (Persons with Disabilities) need to pay only ₹22 using the debit or credit card.
