Benefit of Caste-based Census in Bihar
The caste-based census in Bihar would be helpful for everyone and would allow the state to strive for the growth of diverse parts of society, the chief minister emphasized in August after the process was finished.
In response to a question on some parties’ opposition to the caste-based counting, Kumar stated that the decision to conduct the survey was made following a unanimous vote by the leaders of all major parties in the state, including the BJP.
Why Caste-based Census Bihar?
The government has been pressured by the INDIA alliance to conduct a countrywide caste-based survey. As a result of the Trinamool Congress’ refusal to endorse the bloc’s desire to pressure the government to perform a caste census, there are now disagreements within the bloc on this demand. Rahul Gandhi said last week that if Congress wins the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, which are anticipated to be held in November, they will carry out a similar operation.
